If there’s one thing that I love, it’s discovering really cool and unusual little independent shops on the interwebs. One recent discovery which I really wanted to share with you today is Amabyss, run by husband and wife duo, Paul and Sue.

They both have a passion for design, love things that are a little edgy and different from your usual ‘High Street’ offerings (yay for different!) and if it’s got a bit of a sense of humour, even better.

I love how they choose what goes in their shop: “Our buying rules are simple, it’s got to be a beautiful piece in it’s own right and it needs to be out of the ordinary.”

Sounds like my kinda store right? Maybe yours too?

Well, today, I did a little ‘virtual’ shopping and the good news is, I’m sharing all my favourite pieces with you here today.

I genuinely love all the items I chose but I am in love with the cool legs of that little aluminium and brass tray table – how good of a bar cart would that make?! The candle sticks are also gorgeous – I love the ornate shape in an unexpected blast of colour that would just work SO well in a room painted in a dark colour – YUM. I’m also very very tempted by the print that says ‘This is not a bloody hotel’ and put it in my guest bedroom (what do you mean that would be rude? It’d be hilarious!).
