Well, as you may recall, I’ve been working with Original Style to create a whole new look for the outside of my home. And let me tell you, my neighbours are taking notice! Ha! We’ve had at least 5Β different ones say how much they love them with one even coming out to our tiler whilst he was doing the work, shaking his head and remarking with a smile, “Ahh… they’re showing up the neighbourhood…” ;)

The tiles are looking amazing. They aren’t 100% complete just yet but I’m hoping to do a full reveal post pretty soon once it’s completed and the space is dressed and spruced all up! After the ORC, I need to let my bank balance breathe a little bit (#keepingitreal) before I can start really spending money on things like paint, plant pots and plants but I have every intention of making it look worthy of it’s beautiful new patio area. So please stay tuned for that – it’s coming!
In the meantime, I thought I’d share how some of the work went down. Paul and his assistant Matt from Alberti Pavimenti in Disbury laid those gorgeous tiles from Original Style based upon the original design we’d agreed upon.
We made a few little changes to it as we went, showing the design really is quite flexible, which you’ll see but the design really came to life in front of my eyes over the course of a couple of weeks.
Of course, Meisha was out there every day to inspect the work – I think the guys were a bit taken with her naturally so they didn’t seem to mind her getting under their feet! And if they did, they certainly didn’t show it despite my constant nagging at her to leave them be! She’s a stubborn one.
Every single tile in the pattern is individual placed – it’s crazy how intricate this all is and the level of skill required to get it looking perfect.
Every evening when he got home from work after the tilers had left, Wayne would jokingly stand above them saying, ‘There’s gotta be a mistake in here somewhere…’ But happily, they’ve done a perfect job!
While something like this would be a rather pricey investment in your home, you really need to consider the value it contributes – not just on curb appeal either. I have no doubt this tile will be a selling point when we do eventually decide to move on and I’m excited that we will get to enjoy it in the meantime.
Stay tuned for the full reveal coming soon! What do you think of the progress so far?

I am working with Original Style on this latest project but as always, all words and opinions are completely my own. Thank you for supporting the businesses that allow me to bring you new content here on Swoon Worthy. That said, I only work with companies I really like and think you might like too!
Gosh how good! I’m obsessed with the pattern and look. I’d love to have it in my bathroom and your tile guys are genius. You need some serious skills to do this.
Wow!!!!!!! That is seriously stunning!!! I think you’re right in that it will be a definite plus in terms of appeal when selling your property on eventually. Around where I live, it’s the houses with walk-ups like these that always immediately catch my eye…if only I could afford them! #damnlondonhouseprices
They already look brilliant, everybody will be rubber necking lol xxx
Good grief woman that is good!! Like sooooooo good. I can imagine the neighbors are super jealous and in love with it. All I did was stencil mine and it drew attention. THIS is gonna elicit random people sitting on your stoop. Cant wait to see it all done friend.
Wow, this looks absolutely gorgeous! I’ve been inspired every single time you’ve put a blog post up lovely, keep up the amazing work!

These tiles looks amazing! I am not sure I can wrap my brain around this pattern though, it is a piece of art! Wow!
Lovely! No, more than lovely, absolute genius. Of course, I’m sure they’d not be able to complete their masterpiece were they not under the watchful eyes of Miesha.
I wouldn’t stand on them – they’re only FRIGGING GORGEOUS. I am so envious of the work going down, the pattern looks spectacular and it’s laid out so professionally. Just stunning! I srsly can’t wait to see the final product!!!
I had a mini moment where I saw a couple of your bathroom tiles and I was all like, oh shit this about to get REAL (I love those tiles – they remind me of wrenches!!! So gorgeous).
That tile is so yummy! I just adore it! xo
You know how I feel about black and white! I am in lurvvvvvv. The tiles look fan–frakking–tabulous! I can’t wait to see the finished space. And I totally feel you on needing to let the bank account breathe a little (my hubby’s never ending grip, in fact. Ha!).
