If you missed my first part of my Amsterdam Meet The Blogger experience, you can read it here.
So the second day of the conference, we found ourselves at Woonbeurs, a large interior design show in the southern part of the city at a large exhibition center. Now, it would have been my personal preference to have done the walking tour of Amsterdam’s design shops as we did in London and Stockholm but I went in with an open mind and a sadly, too-full-already suitcase in preparation for my flight later that evening.
We were invited first into a huge barn that was erected right in the exhibition centre by popular Dutch magazine Vtwonen. There, the bloggers had the opportunity to take pictures and purchase various items by artesians, sample food from a working kitchen and take in the beautiful styling.
Of course, there was plenty to see in the rest of the exhibition. While so much of it was gorgeous in that raw, natural sex-appeal of Dutch design, my very favourite part was that of another Dutch interior magazine, More Than Classic. Definitely more colour, definitely more glam, definitely more me.
So I’m probably overloading you with images but goodness, it’s it all rather stunning? Yes, my camera got a workout that day!
Here’s some more from other exhibitors on the day…
Alas, I went home without a purchase thanks to Easyjet and their ridiculous baggage restrictions! But I did really enjoy my inspiring time in Amsterdam and hope to make another trip when I can really take in the sights and sounds at my own leisurely pace! :) And of course, take an empty suitcase with me!
So after all that, I hope you enjoyed my little tour of the exhibition! Have you been inspired by all that Woonbeurs had to offer?
I want to go shopping in Amsterdam!!! I hope you came home with some great stuff.
Love the cacti and those brooms look ready for Halloween.
Give me that colorful overlapping Harlequin patterned wall, and give it to me now! But I don't need the large indoor cactus — eek! And the pink dining table kills me. It's gorgeous, especially with the white and gold and glass.
loved the tour and the inspiration!

michele
