When Joules contacted me about having a look at their new homewares collection, I have to admit, I was intrigued.Β  I was familiar with Joules womens clothes which are rather fun and quirky with an outdoorsy and quintessentially English twist…

Tom Joules actually started the business 30 years ago selling country clobber at equestrian and outdoor events all over Britain.Β  One typical rainy afternoon, Tom realised that the clothing on offer didn’t reflect his customer’s colourful personalities.Β  So he designed 100 pairs of PINK wellies.Β  They sold like hotcakes and Joules was born.Β  I mean, you can’t get much more English than that.

With this curiously eccentric history behind them, I ventured online to see how that eclectic country vibe translated into their new homewares range.

I was pleasantly surprised that it translates quite nicely with the same fun, bright vibe that makes you want to buy a dilapidated house in the middle of nowhere to fill with gorgeous flowers you picked from the meadow outside your back garden gate.

They do have ‘adult’ cushions as well that are just as fun.Β  I can’t decide between the colourful parrot or the pink horse.Β  You can never have too many cushions, right?Β  I might just get both.
