So I’ve got a bunch of very incomplete projects knocking about which means I’ve got very little to share at the moment.  That’s no fun, eh?  It’s kind of the way I’ve been going the last couple weeks, not stressing about finishing projects for the blog but finishing as and when for myself.  So alas, this means things are taking a little longer to complete.  Don’t be hatin’ yo.  Instead I’ve got some pretty for you that other people have created.   Yay!

Now, I love me a bit of bohemian fashion – I tend to be drawn towards floaty fabrics, lots of prints and layers of accessories.  I know that at my age, I should be looking at more sophisticated, tailored looks but well, I can’t help myself.   Screw age-appropriate.  I want to look like this.  (Can you blame me?)

But dreaming aside, how about for a room?  I do love layered pattern, touchable fabrics and interesting vintage details and these rooms appeal to that boho side of me.  So I thought I’d share some rooms that I feel perfectly encapsulate what boho chic means to me and why the elements work so beautifully.

On a backdrop of black, the gold bed shines and layers of muted pattern really bring the room to life.  A vintage nightstand and a porthole mirror set off the texture of layered bedding perfectly.

Quirky flea market finds create an eclectic gallery wall and the soft pastels look gorgeous against a navy wall.  A mustard vintage lampshade is set off perfectly against the deep blues and red in the palette.

Who knew that turquoise and deep blood red could be such a sexy combination?  An eclectic mix of styles is kept sophisticated by reigning in the colour palette to blues, reds and tan.  That to-die-for headboard adds a nod to elegant eclecticism (and you’ll see it again in another setting below).

A gorgeous wicker bed really pops against what appears to be a chalkboard wall with the details playing out perfectly – add cosy vintage bedding in a mix of patterns to make it all so much more inviting.

Pink velvet and green walls?  Why the hell not?  By mixing the patterns and textures, the cushions pick up both colours to harmonise perfectly and as a result, a cosy space is created.  A big vintage gold mirror adds elegance and commands attention to the high ceilings.

Layers are created by the throws on this beautiful aqua vintage leather sofa.  A casual mix of books and vintage wallpaper keep it all very warm and inviting.

Layers and layers of colour, texture and pattern along with a gorgeously quirky lamp and vintage accessories make a bold boho statement.  I totally want to be blogging on THERE. NOW.

A mix of casual accessories – suzani tablecloth, a touch of leopard and gold accessories – gives this next pic a gorgeously relaxed vibe.  The rug pics up the pinks, oranges and yellows of the rest of the room.

A speaking of pink, how fabulous is this bedroom?  Ok, it’s probably nearly the size of my entire home but the bold art, that amazing headboard (again) and mix of styles from all different time periods work beautifully together against a pink backdrop.  Not for the fainthearted.

So tell me… are you feeling the boho vibe?
